Erik is a Principal of the firm and Chair of the firm’s Condominium/Community Association Practice Group. For the past ten years, Erik has concentrated his practice on condominiums and community associations throughout Massachusetts, with an emphasis on representing clients in lien enforcement actions to recover unpaid common expenses in state and federal bankruptcy courts; drafting, amending, and advising clients on governing documents; and advising clients on questions concerning condominium/community association governance and best practices.

Erik is active in state and local organizations concerning condominiums and community associations. He is one of the founding board members of CAI-New England Emerging Leaders Network and an active member of CAI-New England.

In addition to his community association representation, Erik’s areas of practice include: residential and commercial leasing; residential and commercial landlord-tenant law; title examinations; recording of instruments; and protection of property rights.

  • In Re Ames, 447 B.R. 680 (2011) (precedential decision concerning condominium lien enforcement and foreclosure)
  • Trustees of the Bartley Nolan Condominium Trust v. Kamel, 2017 Appeals Court Decision, in favor of the Condominium Trust regarding service of the lien enforcement complaint; obtained original judgment on behalf of Condominium Trust and prepared the legal memoranda for the Condominium Trust upon which the appeals court decision is based.
